STADIUMS & DEVELOPMENTS

Artic Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC)

This new iconic terminal building is 117-feet-high with an approximate footprint of 48,000-square-feet. The 68,000-square-foot steel-framed tubular structure includes Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) and glass cladding as part of the terminal. This design made it one of the largest welding projects in California.

Group Delta managed and was responsible for all inspection and testing including coordination of welding non-destructive testing (NDT). Group Delta was also responsible for deep dynamic soil compaction, ETFE roof installation, and monolithic mat foundation inspections.

Group Delta Value Added:

  • Full-Scope Inspection & Testing Oversight: Managed all inspection and testing services, including coordination of non-destructive testing (NDT) for one of California’s largest welding projects.
  • Specialized Structural Support: Oversaw deep dynamic soil compaction and monolithic mat foundation inspections to ensure structural integrity of the 117-foot-high terminal.
  • Innovative Roofing System Expertise: Provided inspection services for the installation of the ETFE roof system, a key architectural feature of the 68,000-square-foot steel-framed structure.
