Ontario International Airport Soil & Groundwater Assessment
Group Delta, an NV5 Company, was in charge of workplan production for assessment of PFAS in soil and groundwater from AFFF releases. We worked closely with the Regional Water Quality Control Board to produce a workplan to assess PFAS in soil and groundwater. The plan saved considerable potential expenses by using existing downgradient monitoring wells owned by others for groundwater sample collection.
Added Value
- Strategic Workplan Development: Our team led the creation of a targeted workplan to assess PFAS contamination in soil and groundwater resulting from AFFF releases, aligning with regulatory expectations.
- Regulatory Collaboration: Our team worked closely with the Regional Water Quality Control Board to ensure the workplan met compliance standards and addressed site-specific environmental concerns.
- Cost-Effective Sampling Approach: Our team minimized project costs by leveraging existing downgradient monitoring wells owned by third parties for groundwater sampling, avoiding the need for new well installations.
