Group Delta, an NV5 Company, provided the geotechnical investigation and construction-phase observation and testing services for campus modernization project at the San Pedro High School. The project included construction of several new buildings, lunch shelter, retrofit of existing classroom and administration buildings, and other campus improvements. Our team investigated diotomaceous soils and rock at the site, as well as existing foundation systems, and provided recommendations for foundations, grading, utilities, and pavements. Our team provided geotechnical seismic design parameters and also provided recommendations for underpinning existing structures in order to complete structural retrofit construction.
