Group Delta, an NV5 Company, performed geotechnical investigations, developed design recommendations, and provided construction observation and testing of four buildings, 4-story, 526 residential unit, mixed-use multifamily development in Marina Del Rey. The project included mitigating settlement and liquefaction hazard through the use of stone columns and soil mixing. The project also included replacement of a segment of Los Angeles County storm drain up to approximately 20 feet deep, requiring dewatering due to the shallow groundwater and tidal fluctuations, as well as recommendations for stabilizing soft subgrades and placing backfill.
