Kaiser Zion Hospital SPC-4D Seismic Retrofit
Group Delta, an NV5 Company, provided a geotechnical evaluation for the seismic retrofit of the Center Tower at the existing Zion Medical Center. The evaluation followed ASCE 41-17, and included development of site-specific ground motion spectra and time histories for the BSE-1E and BSE-2E seismic hazard levels to support nonlinear dynamic analyses.
Value Added
- Advanced Seismic Evaluation Expertise: Our team conducted a detailed geotechnical evaluation in accordance with ASCE 41-17 to support the seismic retrofit of the Center Tower at Zion Medical Center.
- Site-Specific Seismic Hazard Analysis: Our team developed customized ground motion spectra and time histories for BSE-1E and BSE-2E hazard levels, enabling accurate nonlinear dynamic analysis.
- Support for Structural Resilience: Our team provided critical geotechnical input to enhance the seismic performance and safety of a key medical facility in a high-risk seismic zone.
