Group Delta, an NV5 Company, has provided and is currently providing consulting and construction observation work for this modernization project where Delta Airlines is embarking on a multi-year terminal construction and modernization project at LAX. The redevelopment includes Terminals 2 and 3, and construction of a connector from Terminal 3 to Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Our team provided the field investigation to assess pavement subgrade conditions at the T2 and T3 aprons; pile load test observation, analyses, and reporting for torque down pipe piles for enabling works; communicating with City of Los Angeles Grading Department; Geotechnical construction observation for pile installation and utility relocation backfill; and hazardous materials sampling and testing.
Our team also managed the work of subconsultants, including subsurface utility surveys; topographical and surface utility surveys; non-destructive pavement testing; and survey scanning and BIM modeling of existing facilities.
