The project includes 17-mile improvements to I-405 and road widening from SR-73 to I-605. The addition of one lane in both the northbound and southbound directions, as well as multi-jurisdictional services is expected to mitigate one of the busiest freeways in the US.
Group Delta, an NV5 Company, provided over a dozen asbestos and lead-based surveys and work plans of structures, bridges and over/under crossings for the I-405 improvements. Additional environmental services included Aerially Deposited Lead (ADL) Studies, soil and groundwater phase II investigations, NPDES dewatering groundwater investigations, due diligence, and Initial Site Assessment (ISA) for I-405, the largest transportation improvement project in Orange County history.
