The Anaheim Convention Center is an expansion to its previous space to accommodate the growing need for larger conference rooms and parking options. The demolition of a previous parking structure is now providing an additional 200,000 square-feet of event space to host concurrent events, capture new business, and retain current clients. The project also includes additional parking and a connecting bridge between the existing convention center and the expansion. There are two levels of highly flexible, multi-use space in the new center, with higher ceilings and fewer pillars that improve the guests visual range. For this project, Group Delta managed and was responsible for all inspection and materials testing including coordination of shop welding/non-destructive testing (NDT) in several states outside of California. Additionally, Group Delta conducted observation of hundreds of auger cast piles and provided noise and vibration monitoring during the construction phase.
