Title: Associate Geologist/Fault Investigation

Ms. Sutherland has worked as an Engineering Geologist throughout Southern California as well as parts of Northern California, specializing in geological investigation for seismicity, landslide modelling, and soil/rock profiling. She has worked on several water projects within Los Angeles County including the seismic investigation and reanalysis for LACDPW Puddingstone Dam, liquefaction modelling for LADWP proposed Headworks West Reservoir and the seismic enhancement investigation and planning for LADWP Elizabeth Tunnel, Los Angeles Aqueduct. She has performed fault investigations and geotechnical investigations for transportation projects such as the METRO Westside and Regional Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles, California. Additionally, recent surface fault rupture investigations performed include the Hollywood, Santa Monica fault, and Newport Inglewood faults for school, hospital, and commercial developments. Ms. Sutherland has worked on several transportation projects within Los Angeles and Orange County including the Exposition Light Rail Project, Los Angeles County; Foothill Transportation Corridor South Project, Orange County; and High-Speed Train, Los Angeles and Orange County providing geological investigation planning, field organization, mapping, logging down-hole borings, environmental/habitat restoration, hydrogeology investigation, and geotechnical and environmental impact report preparation.
